Brahmanism- A different Prespective

Well off late I got to know few people who are pretty orthodox.. Being born as a Brahman I have met lot of them though but the one i met recently are different.. I have seen ma Mom and grand mom's doing all kinds of Poojas.. Honestly I have never done them but I always wondered WATS the big thing in "Brahmanism"..

I tried answering them by myself and in the process I met some very interesting characters.. One of them is ma gud frnd Venky.. He is 25 year old guy who works for HCL.. That's the one part of his life but in the weekends he is no less to a sacred priest.. He is absolutely god fearing and credits all his success so far to the GOD!! Pretty interesting.. Well another one is ma childhood frnd Mahesh who is religious but more importantly hard working.. I have never seen him crediting his success to God though he believes in the same.. Both of them pretty different and both of them defining various spectrum's of "Brahmanism"

I also know many others who are obsessed about their community. Well for them being a Brahman is such a big thing in the world. They fail to realise though that being a gud human is more important.. They follow all kinds of sastras but they don't possess a important dhrama which is "humanity".. I may be hypothetical when I make such a statement but there are some reasons which made me think so.. The primary reason is negligence towards other community people.. They always have a superior tone when they speak to non-Brahmans.. This is something which made non-Brahmans hate us.. In this world every one is equal and being proud just because one is born as a Brahman is stupidity.. There are some who claim that Brahmin's are the one who is close to GOD.. Reading Mantras is their birth right and for them no one else can do the same.. Well not sure who gave them this right because in bird's eye view of God every one is equal.. Most of us actually fail to understand that we have a short life and that should be properly utilised to love other fellow human beings..

I have known few people who spend a lot of time reading mantras and sashtras.. Well that's a great thing to do but my opinion is pretty different on this too.. I accept that god will be pleased to have us chant his name but he does not except us to do the same every single minute of our life time.. We are born in this world for a reason and everyone has a goal to be achieved.. No God will be pleased if we don't strive hard for that instead keep chanting his name.. God would be much more pleased to see us work hard and do good for our beloved ones rather than seeing us sitting before him and chant his name every single minute.. World is becoming so competitive and we are coming across latest technology every single day.. But the shameful part is our contribution towards that technology is minimal.. We have people telling that we are the superior race just because we started telling Vedas some 20000 years ago and we are doing the same till now.. Our contribution to the world society is very minimal and this is something we should strive hard for..

Well I also knew some who are obsessed about their language.. Well we fail to understand language is just a medium of communication and it shouldn't be taken close to our heart.. I had an elderly person Condemning me because I didn't know Kannada.. That was because I was a Kannada Brahman and he said it should be mandatory for me to know Kannada.. Nice logic.. But I would like to question him that how many of us here in south India know Hindi? Being an Indian we must be knowing Hindi, right? I am sure he doesn't have answers for that.. Well the problem with us is that sometimes our community becomes more important than our country.. This is the main reason for the bomb blasts we are having in our country..

All said and done I have single point to made here.. Every single second is important for us..Lets utilise that properly for the betterment of our country:)

Traffic and Our Leaders

Well it was some 10 AM yesterday and I was really late to my office.. So I was riding my bike really fast to some how reach my office by 10.40. My office is some 25 kms from my home. Well I some how reached Velachery at 10.30 and I knew its goanna take max 15 minutes for me to reach my office. So i was pretty happy and shit!! I saw lot of bikes and cars in heavy traffic!! I was standing for about 10 minutes and the traffic was absolutely stand still.. Couldnt understand why and I thought I could ask someone standing near by.. There was some gal standing besides me and I asked her about the traffic.. She said PM and Sonia Gandhi(The real PM :) ) are goanna come today to Chennai.. Well it was a big blow for me as my PM(project manager) had asked me to come to office at 9 and it was already 10 . 40. .

It was damn hot and I was exactly between a bus and atleast 30 two wheelers making all kinds of noice they could possibly do :) .. There were some who were making sounds from behind and abusing Traffic police men but none had the guts to speak to him(including me :) ) .. Well then I saw some 10 cars going one by one from about a distance of atleast 800 meters to 1 km.. The very next moment Vivek's Dialogue struck my mind. "Engayo pore thalaivar kage inge ivallo Security ah!! Unge kadammai unnarchi ku orru alave illaya da"

Some how the traffic got cleared and I entered mount road!! I saw big banners of Sonia Gandhi and some unknown leaders(Which included GK Vasan, Manmohan Singh and some Soona thanna).. And every ten meters I could find a police man or a police woman!! Well there was no traffic at all in mount road probably because the leaders have just travelled through the road and I felt as if I was a leader.. Well I could find traffic in either side of the road but the mount road was absolutely fine.. Pretty unusual.. Then I some how I reached my office at 11.10 and thought that I am goanna be kicked by my PM..Was really nervous when I entered my office. Alas.. My PM was not feeling gud and he didnot turn up to the office.. LOLz.. Then my Colleague asked me why the hell i was late and my dialogue was simple " Risk Edakuradhe Ennaku Rusk Sapidramadhiri"

At the last Maha Janagalle A small message for Our National Leaders

"U have been elected to solve our problems..If you cant solve problems thats fine..But for heaven sake dont create problems.. Otherwise Katham Gatham"

My First Blog

Well this is my first blog and have very less idea on what to write about!! Yes gottcha!! Well I have often thought that how come my fnrdz keep getting time to write blogs when every second we spend in office becomes important. Most of the time we are just visitors to our own home and our office becomes our home where in we spend atleast 15 hours a day. Having said that, it really suprises me to think about my frndz like Mahesh who spend time regularly on blogging. But I do realise this is some thing which refreshes our mind and makes us feel good.

The first blog I read off was that of my fnrds and was pretty suprised to see the way he used the blog to scatter his views. I was quick to realise that this is a very strong medium to communicate others what you felt about an issue and hence had no option other than jumping into blogging. Ha Ha Ha
