I am 24 now and have seen lotz of movies right from our action packed movies of our Captain to punch dialogue filled movies of Vijay.. But none of them had made a big impact on me than a Hollywood movie named "Pursuit of Happiness".. Most of ma frndz are Hollywood biased and I have honestly never given importance becos I was always under the impression Indian Movies are far better.. I hated movies like Superman, Spiderman showing super natural things( Some thing which I never believed in ) .. So I always used to watch movies close to my culture and my people..
But I happened to meet one of my school frndz and he was watching "Pursuit of Happiness" .. I just saw one of the scenes in it and it was the climax of the movie.. I was highly impressed and I asked him the story line.. He just gave me a jist.. I some how wanted to watch the movie and never really got time for the same.. I went to Spencer's bought an original dvd of the same film..
So it was saturday night and after a week long's work I started to see the movie.. :) And all I could say was that Will Smith's acting was so great and i couldnt stop myself from crying :( .. The story is all about a man who does not have a job and is trying hard to settle.. His wife leaves him off and the way overcomes and becomes big is wat the movie shows..Firstly I was truly impressed by Will Smith's acting skills.. Gosh!! He was so damn good actor and his expressions simply refuse to go off my mind.. Compared to Vijay who does the same thing again and again and again, Will Smith stands much more taller.. I would dare to compare Will Smith with Kamal.. Both of them great actors..
Well the movie reminded me of my past.. I was jobless for 10 long months after finishing my degree and I saw the pain of my eyes in his acting.. I have virtually cried everyday when I was jobless and to see him cry during tough times reminded my old days.. But the best part of the movie is not to see him cry rather to see him fight hard at his life.. He starts his career as a salesman and never manages to sell anything.. Then he shifts his job and tries to be a stock broker.. Under training he was never paid and under training sessions he becomes the most under rated.. Just then he happens to lose his car, house and his wife.. The worst part is he stays in bathroom the whole night as he had no place to live in :( .. Yet he somehow becomes the best student of his training session and gets the job..
All said and done the best dialogue of the movie which changed ma life
" dream things and always learn to protect them.. everyone would try to shatter ur dream just because they cant do the same.. Work hard to achieve ur dream and listen to no one.. Dream things and always protect them"
Really true.. the movie simply reflects how we should go about our life and want every one reading this blog to see the movie.. Ur life would change as mine :)
